SM City Baguio is once again showing its support for local entrepreneurs with the two-week MSME Fair, running from September 5th to 18th, 2024. This event highlights the mall’s ongoing dedication to helping micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) flourish and providing meaningful support to communities.
The fair will feature 12 local exhibitors, offering a wide variety of handcrafted products, from wooden crafts and woven goods to pet accessories and artwork. It’s a great opportunity for these small businesses to showcase their creativity while connecting with a broader audience. Shoppers can expect to discover unique items and support local artisans, who bring something special to the community. The fair features a diverse range of exhibitors, including Carrisma’z Handmade Crafts, Glamorosa Enterprises, Cufashion Pet Supplies and Accessories Shop, and Astereae Art Services. Other participating businesses are Shechem Arts and Crafts, Pixiecrafts and Paperie Art Shop, Salt and Spyce Fashion Accessories Shop, Norkisa’s Pasalubong Shop, IFKA’S Weaving and Handicrafts, Sabies Picks Fashion Shop, LTA Dry Goods, and Crafty Nook Arts.
This is not the first time SM City Baguio has championed local entrepreneurs. Following the success of previous MSME events like the ART Market, where local artists had the chance to share and sell their work, this fair continues the tradition of supporting local talent and providing a platform for small businesses to thrive. The Pasakalye Group of artists will also be back, showcasing a selection of small paintings that reflect the rich artistic culture of Baguio City.
By hosting events like the MSME Fair, these initiatives provide local businesses with valuable opportunities to expand, while offering the community access to unique, locally-made products. It is an opportunity to support the growth of small enterprises and contribute to the vibrancy of the local economy. SM Supermalls regularly hosts events like trade fairs, bazaars, and special exhibits that offer MSMEs a platform to showcase their products and connect with larger audiences. These events, including the MSME fairs and the annual “SM StartUp Market,” help small businesses gain visibility and expand their customer base.**
