The Social Security System (SSS) branches under the Luzon North 1 Division will deploy its eWheels in six key provinces and one Highly Urbanized City (HUC) of Northern Luzon to extend social security services in last mile communities.
“This proactive and innovative approach is one of the key initiatives of our President and CEO Robert Joseph Montes de Claro. As we aim for service excellence, SSS is making our services accessible in remote communities so that our members, pensioners, and beneficiaries can transact with us with ease,” SSS Acting Vice President for Luzon North 1 Division Nancy Umoso said.
The SSS eWheels is a mobile service program launched in 2023 to bring SSS services closer to the barangays and teach its clientele how to use various digital platforms like the SSS website (www.sss.gopv.ph); My.SSS Portal, and SSS Mobile App. SSS branch personnel also assist the community members in their online transactions such as issuance of Social Security Number (SS) generation for incoming members, My.SSS registration, enrollment of disbursement account, submission of benefit and loan application, updating of member and pensioner data records, and Payment Reference Number (PRN) generation for contribution and loan.
Starting April 2025, SSS will deploy its eWheels in 52 strategic locations in Baguio City, Benguet, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Mountain Province, Abra and Ilocos Norte.
“For those towns and barangays who would like to invite our eWheels, you may coordinate with the respective SSS branch offices in your area so we can arrange a schedule for its visit,” Umoso concluded. **
