CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga (PIA)—Another Tabukena brought pride to the city by placing number 8 in the Mining Engineer Licensure Exams earlier this August.
Emily Joyce Ekwey dela Cruz, a graduate of the University of the Philippines-Diliman , garnered 87.05%.She is from Barangay Nambaran.
The Professional Regulations Commission announced that 206 out of 274 examinees successfully passed the exam Baguio, Cebu, Cotabato and Legazpi.
Dela Cruz recalled how she dealt with the loss of her grandmother who passed away on the second day of the three-day board examination. She also lost her grandfather January this year.
“It is really very sad for me that my celebration cannot be complete. How I wish they were still here to witness this and that they are still with us in celebrating this achievement,” she said in an interview.
Emily is the daughter of Charlito Angadol dela Cruz, a government employee and Muriel Ekwey dela Cruz, who is presently working as nurse in Sweden.
