BAGUIO CITY – Taxpayers in the city of Baguio who paid their real property and business taxes early at the city treasurers’ office this year were given the chance to win prizes, Friday, April 7.
In recognition of the city government here of taxpayers who paid their taxes early, ten washing machines (6.5 kgs.), nine 32 inches television sets and nine 7 cubic refrigerator were given to lucky taxpayers.
Winners of the 10 washing machines include Jocelyn Orio, Joan Bebet, Rita Menzi Tinipac, Jane Cosalan, Jeric Cruz Sison, May Maclano, Richard Aglosolos, Nora Gaudan, Beatrice Embong and Sheila Bautista Reyes.
Fernan Ballada, Rosita Santiago, Jocelyn Abordo, Luz Genove, Dionalina dela Cruz, Karen Luciapao, Vilma Severo, Marie Angel, and Juanita Alcantara are the winners of the 32” television sets.
The winners of the 7 cubic refrigerators are Evelyn Baguingey, Salvador Ribaya, Jr., Joy Chorachor, Alexander/Grace Policarpio, Ronald Andawi, Marissa Bentican, Corazon Lampuyas, Mauricia dela Cruz, and Daniel Gapuz.
Officer-in-charge and assistant treasurer Alex Cabarrubias stressed that the prizes are not convertible to cash.
Winners can claim their prizes at the treasurers’ office during office hours, Monday to Friday. They should bring along with them identification cards, claiming stub and proofs of payment.
Apart from winning the said prizes, a 20-percent discount were given to taxpayers who paid their taxes last January, 15-percent last February, and 10-percent last March. **Jho Arranz
