A fusion of Cordillera and Ilocandia culture were showcased during the staging of the 2024 Tinungbo Festival street dance competition in Pugo, La Union over the weekend.
High school students participated in the competition where they paraded from the national highway to the Pugo Municipal Hall.
The Tinungbo Festival took its name from the local dialect tinungbo which is an indigenous way of cooking rice and fresh water and other local delicacies in young bamboo internodes, locally called tubong, grilled over charcoal or low fire. **RMC PIA-CAR
