As we sink deeper into the endless ocean of exhaustion, when we are walking on both legs with nothing but fumes, a sweet echo of serenity reaches out to us between the waves. Seemingly a call out, pulling us and dragging us onto the land with dancing air all around. And there we sway and float on the air, as we reach out to stars well within our grasp. For a moment, everything becomes perfectly normal, the creeping hound like worry that chases us from behind vanishes, and the path forward has never been so clear.
Floating higher and higher among the stars our hallucinations take control of us, for the moment, our bodies have been hijacked. But we don’t mind it, all the problems and worries are no longer ours to confront. Every predicament that must be resolved is not ours to solve. Vices when underestimated was the moment we have been fully entrapped into a web that stretches seemingly forever. Whether it takes the form of an innocent looking drink, or a small rolled up tobacco, vices take the form of whatever we want, whatever we crave for. Always reaching out for something to take us someplace far away, away from our problems into a land without worries.
Our vices don’t have to take on the appearance of conventional images. These can even transform into a cesspit of everything disgusting to the senses, and I have no doubt most will jump, to sink further and deeper into another world.
Hop on back to cloud nine and reach for the stars. Whether we ourselves are trapped or clinging onto life without the alluring effects of vices. Reality will wait for us no matter how far we go. Wherever cloud nine will take us will never be far away from the grips of reality. We will always go back to where it all began, facing our adversaries and the many hurdles present in life.
The colors in this life can be easily ignored when we set our sights to a single aspect of a very wide and diverse blessing.
We are easily led astray into a tunnel with no end, unaware of the several vices that chase for us. It can be hard to pace ourselves with the fast paced modern world we find ourselves in, and what better to lay back on, than the encroaching vices behind our backs.
It can be important to always remind ourselves, our journey is one that is not synonymous with those of others. Though we all end up in the same place, whatever path we take to get there is one unique to us. Whatever pace we use to reach our destination, we’ll get there when we get there. One step at a time, and we still get closer to our goals than yesterday.**
