BAGUIO CITY — Three universities in the Cordillera are among the top performing schools in the recent Criminology board examinations.
University of the Cordilleras (UC) sustained its status as the top performing Criminology school in the October 2016 Criminologist Board Examinations with a passing rate of 95.16 percent.
Kings College of the Philippines- Benguet is the top 2 performing school with 88.57% passing rate. 62 out of its 70 examinees passed the exams.
In fourth place is the Ifugao State College– Lamut Campus with 83.33% passing rate. The school had 130 passers out of the 156 examinees.
Others in the top five performing schools are Tarlac State University at No. 3 and Data Center College of the Philippines – Laoag City at No. 5 with a passing rate of 88.46% 80.28%, respectively.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said that 10,901 out of 34,768 passed the Criminologist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Criminology in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Mindoro, Pagadian, Palawan, Pangasinan, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga last October 2016.
The PRC announced that registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Cards and Certificates of Registration will be done on-line from January 2 to January 6, 2017. Board passers are advised to go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.
Those who will register in person are required to bring the following: Notice of Admission, duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, 2 pieces passport size picture, colored with white background and complete name tag, and 2 sets of documentary stamps. Successful examinees should personally register and sign the Roster of Registered Professionals.
Passers may also register at the PRC Service Centers in Robinsons Place Manila, Robinsons Galleria and in Clark Skills Training Center, formerly Polytechnic College, Clark, Pampanga.
