Winners in the 8th Fishing Tournament that transpired last Sunday Sept 1, 2023 coinciding with the Baguio Day celebration were awarded during the flag-raising ceremonies last Sept. 9, 2024.
Awarded were Godefredo Quela who placed first in the pool of 35 participants. Quela logged a five-fish catch with an aggregate length of 43.5 inches.
Cale Encarnacion was at second place with four fishes measuring 35.5 inches and Ronnie Paulino, third place with four fishes 35 inches.
Tournament coordinator Rafael Serrano thanked the city government led by Mayor Benjamin Magalong and the City Environment and Parks Management Office for sustaining the project. He also thanked Couns. Lilia Fariñas and Peter Fianza, Baguio Tourism Council head Gladys Vergara, coordinators Ronald Ramos, Bong Sabado and Jona Serrano and other project benefactors. ** Aileen P.
