BAGUIO CITY– The Philippine Military Academy(PMA), the premier military school in South East Asia, has set its entrance examination for August 21, 2016 with testing centers nationwide.
In Luzon, the testing centers are in Manila, Quezon City, Baguio City, Laoag City, Dagupan City, Bontoc in Mountain Province, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, Tuguegarao City, Cabanatuan City, Tarlac City, City of San Fernando, Pampanga, Olongapo City and Calapan City, Lipa City, Puerto Princesa City, Lucena City, Legaspi City, and Naga City.
Testing centers in the Visayas are in Bacolod City, Iloilo City, Kalibo Aklan, Cebu City, Dumaguete City, Tagbilaran City, Catbalogan City and Tacloban City.
In Mindanao, testing centers are in Davao City, Zamboanga City, Butuan City, Cagayan de Oro City, Ozamis City, General Santos City, Tacurong City, Iligan City, Cotabato City, Tawi-tawi and Mati City.
The main subjects in the examination are algebra and geometry, grammar and composition, reading and comprehension, verbal and numerical reasoning and pattern analysis.
A candidate for admission in the entrance examination should be a natural born Filipino citizen, physically fit and of good moral character, single and has never been married, at least high school graduate (those who graduated on or before 2015, prior to the implementation of K-12, are eligible to apply), with a minimum of five feet in height for both male and female, has no administrative or criminal cases and should have been born from April 1, 1995 to April 1, 2000.

PMA cadets enjoy a full government scholarship. This covers the salary they receive every month, the initial clothing allowance, and support for the services in connection with their stay in the Academy.
