BAGUIO CITY – The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) approved a PHP40 increase in the minimum wage of workers in the private sector and PHP1,100 for household workers.
Wage Order CAR-23 dated Nov. 13, published on the official social media page of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on Thursday, granted a PHP40 increase in the minimum wage across the region’s provinces.
This brings to PHP470 the minimum wage upon effectivity three weeks after publication in a newspaper of general publication or on Dec. 23.
The RTWPB also issued Wage Order CAR-DW-06, granting a PHP1,100 monthly increase for household workers or “kasambahays” in the region.
This brings their minimum monthly wage to PHP6,000 from PHP4,900.
