Philippine Trail Running Association, Inc. (PHILTRA) Vice President, Atty. Aldean Lim and Mr. Roland Wangwang, founder of Tawid Mountain Marathon, paid a courtesy visit with Bontoc Mayor Jerome ‘Chagsen” Tudlong, Jr. on January 4, 2023.
Atty. Lim has coordinated with the mayor regarding PHILTRA’s proposal to conduct the “Philippine Trail Running Championships (Championships)” on February 25-26, 2023, in the municipality.
The “Championships” is the final leg of the trail running series held in different parts of the country, including Mount Pulag in Benguet, Timberland Mountain Marathon in Rizal, Spartan Trail Series in Pampanga, as well as trail runs in Visayas and Mindanao.
Further, the “Championships” aims to select the country’s representative for international races such as the World Mountain & Trail Running Championship which will be held in Innsbruck, Austria in June 2023.
