BAGUIO CITY– The Career Executive Service Board (CESB), in coordination with the Cordillera Association of Regional Executives (CARE), is calling for the region’s nominations to the 2019 Gawad CES Award.
Gawad CES is an annual Presidential award that recognizes members in the Career Executive Service for exemplary performance and significant contributions, particularly in the areas of innovation, information and communication technology, social services, administrative reforms and public policy.
The award also aims to inspire members of the CES community to live up to the ideals in the Career Executive Service – that is to bring to the entire bureaucracy change where it is needed, expertise where it is missing, and leadership where it is wanting.
Gawad CES is open to all Career Executive Service Officers (CESOs) and third level eligible officers (CEOE/CSEE/CESE) occupying executive and managerial positions, who may be nominated as an individual or as a group/team with a maximum of 10 members who contributed to a common project outcome or output.
Individual or team nominees must have at least very satisfactory performance rating or equivalent for the last two consecutive annual rating periods prior to nomination, and have not been charged administratively or criminally at the time of nomination.
Nominators can be government agencies, national and regional associations of career executive officers, non government organization or civil society organizations through their heads of offices or chief executive officers, or superior/subordinate or any individual from the nominee’s agency who has substantial knowledge of the nominee’s leadership/managerial attributes and accomplishments.
A nominator must write to the CESB to nominate a qualified official/group of officials attaching a curriculum vitae of the nominee/s and the accomplished nomination form which is downloadable at www.cesboard.gov.ph.
Deadline of nomination is on or before May 31, 2019.
Recognition of the awardees shall be led by the President in a formal awarding presentation ceremony to be held at Malacañang in November during the, anniversary of the CES.
A Gawad CES winner shall receive a plaque with the Presidential Seal, a statuette and P100, 000 prize money.
