BAGUIO CITY – The local government thru the city treasurer’s officer under Alex Cabarrubias recognized twenty of the Summer Capital’s top business and real property taxpayers for 2017 in Monday’s flag-raising rites at City Hall.
Mayor Mauricio Domogan led other officials in handing-over Plaques of Recognition to the awardees who were cited for their remarkable contribution in leading towards the attainment of the city’s collection target in business and real property taxes for taxable year 2017.
The top ten business taxpayers are SuperValue, Inc. paying taxes amounting to P2,142,577; DCMI Project Developers, Inc., P1,825,796; Coca-Cola Femsa Phils. Inc., P1,767,905; Pilipino Cable Corporation, P1,666,657; and Imelda Lao with P1,565,380 in taxes paid.
Also included are Team Philippines Energy Corporation, P1,392,511; Baguio Country Club Corporation, P1,296,787; San Miguel Brewery, Inc., P1,245,405; Camp John Hay Hotel Corporation, P1,228,762; and Kintetsu World Express (Phils.) Inc. with1,148,648 in taxes paid.
The top ten real property taxpayers are Baguio Country Club Corporation, P3,970,338.40; Jarco Realty and Development Corporation, P1,920,452.90; RU Aquino Construction and Development Corporation, P1,501,756.60; and VDARA Realty Development Corporation with P1,372,601.40 in taxes paid.
Also included are DCMI Project Developers Inc., P1,016,766.30; Azalea Leisure Residences Corporation, P977,545; BTG Holdings Inc., P648,850.90; Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres Phil. Foundation, P558,895.55; City Light Properties Development Corporation, P543,654.60; and Goshen Land Capital, Inc. with P502,627.50 in taxes paid.
Domogan thanked the top taxpayers profusely as he hoped that they continue to be shining examples to others in the payment of business and real property taxes in the city.**gaby keith
