BAGUIO CITY – Being a public servant is not an easy job, hence acknowledging and recognizing their exemplary efforts and achievements boost their image and morale.
The city government of Baguio recognized outstanding employees nominated by the different departments for the first semester.
Awarded as the outstanding employee for the second level was Ellen Dayag, social welfare officer II while the outstanding employee for the first level was Cynthia Daweg, day care worker I, both assigned at the City Social Welfare and Development Office.
They both received plaques of recognition and cash incentives.
Dayag is assigned to manage the operation of the Social Development Center that manages the cases of children who are in conflict with the law (CICL). She succeeded in the implementation of the programs and services without mainly depending from available resources but initiated different strategies to meet the needs of the clients under her care.
On the other hand, assigned at the Pinsao Proper Day Care Center was Daweg, who being the second parent of the children ensured that all activities of the children were well supervised and at the same time she was active in all barangay activities.
The other first level outstanding employee nominees include Grace Alperez of the accounting office, Democrito Monsalud of the City Assessor’s Office, Emmalyn Colansong of the City Buildings and Architecture Office, Regina Cawiding of the City Environment and Parks Management Office, Cristobal Bulacan of the Civil Registry, Bernardo Urbano, Jr. of the engineering office, Aurea Bayawa of the Health Services Office, Gloria Laureta of the City Human Resource Management Office, Elena Berganio of the City Mayor’s Office, Bernadette Gundran of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, Daniel Flores of the Treasury and John Cupida of the Veterinary Office.
While the other second level outstanding employee nominees include Jennifer Bay-on (accounting office), Ceasar Onoza (assessor’s office), Lucia Bernadette Lamong (civil registry office), Gabriel Belting, Jr. (engineering office), Edna Tabo-oy (health services office), Amelia Joan Clerigo (city human resource management office), Dexter See (city mayor’s office), Felina Diaz (sangguniang panlungsod), Placido Generao (treasury office) and Mary Jane Laus (veterinary office).**Jho Arranz
