BAGUIO CITY – The public is invited to attend the Easter Sunrise activity this Sunday, April 1, at Malcolm Square starting 4:30 am with Rev. David Tabo-oy as guest of honor and speaker.
The event is conducted by the city government thru the Baguio Character Council (BCC) in cooperation with the Baguio-Benguet Ecumenical Group (BBEG).
A musical rendition by the Gateway Community Church will start the program followed by opening remarks from former councilor and BBEG officer Philian Weygan-Allan; prayer by a UCCP-Baguio representative and welcome remarks from Vice Mayor Edison Bilog. Community singing will follow.
Baguio Representive Mark Go, Ptr. Simeon Baluyot and Erlinda Tindo will lead in the reading of scriptures followed by the message of Tabo-oy who will be introduced by assistant city personnel officer Edith Dawaten.
Intercessory prayers will be given by Lolita Castro for the family; city police chief Ramil Saculles, government; Jane Cadalig, media; female jaile dorm warden April Rose Ayangwa, country; ptr. Reynaldo Cordoviz, Baguio city; Dr. Dandeo Halog, health; Rev. Arnold Santonia, churches; Dr. Federico Martin, education; Fr. Manuel Flores, Jr., environment; and Deimler Cuyan for the economy while John Glenn Gaerlan will perform the Lord’s Prayer.
Mayor Mauricio Domogan will also deliver his Easter Sunday message followed by a choral rendition by the Baguio City Police Office choir then acknowledgement of participants from city personnel officer and BCC co-chair Augustin Laban III.
The programs ends with a benediction from all the bishops, priests and pastors present then a choral response from the BBEG’s Hallelujah Chorus conducted by Ptr. Abraham Luis, BBEG president.**gaby keith
