Too much of tranquility can drive anyone mad. But in between hectic moments, these boring days are just what anyone needs. Instead of worrying about tomorrow and the deadlines that spawn like rabbits, the peaceful days can actually allow us to think for our own well-being. No more going to bed tired and nervous about what’s to come. You can only feel bad and send prayers to the students still in school.
After letting assignments and schools tell us what to do 24/7, its like being a baby being left alone to do whatever one wants. Its strange to not follow a strict schedule, its relieving, not only for the body but for the mind. Now would be a good time once again to re-learn about time management so schoolwork would not be rushed. Though its vacation for us, the day can still go by fast leaving anyone indecisive about what to do.
It’s a good time now to re-learn all that we have forgotten or values that have been hijacked by a stressed and tired mind. It’s a wonder what going through an entire year with little rest can do to our mind and body. Thankfully, holidays are spent with family, they are there to remind us about what sort of person we should be and to strive for.
Looking at ourselves now, we ask ourselves if this is what we truly want to be, or have we gone astray just a little. For the sake of our goals, we must always make careful evaluation of ourselves from time to time, whether there is progress or not.
Now would be a time to get back on the right path, should we find ourselves off to the side.
To get through much of a year, I myself have found myself adopting new mindsets, abandoning the old ones just to get through the hard days. When the pressure is too much, what little amount of joy to be found only allowed for the swathes of negativity to take control. Someone has to after all. We cannot completely devoid ourselves of any emotion. Therein negativity and all things unpleasant take advantage of us.
Emotions drive us. They drive us forward with earnest feelings or with the intent of self-destruction. Self-control will be one thing we all must regain control of at this point of the year. And what better emotions around us to help us with. Now is a time of joy. A time where we can learn and live again without pressure.
Surrounded by people we are comfortable with, we start again with baby steps. Sort our emotions in order and take charge of our lives. How is a loose cannon supposed to enjoy Christmas?
A calm heart and mind is just what we need now, to be a sponge of all things positive, drive us forward with earnest and confidence. **
