Councilor Bernard Al-ag on took his oath of office as vice mayor of Davao City in place of just resigned Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte, son of President Rodrigo Duterte.
After a long while, we have a Davao City vice mayor with a different surname.

When erstwhile Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte said he would resign from his post, he was as good as his word. He submitted his resignation letter to the President pronto.
If others were like him, it would have been President Leni Robredo receiving and acting on his resignation letter.

Still on issue of term extension for President Duterte, somebody said that it is inevitable and there simply is no way to stop it because it is written in the President’s name. According to the person, the TE in the surname of the President stands for “term extension” and that it even occurs twice!

The Palace will not seek the release of former customs chief Nicanor Faeldon to enable him to do his job as deputy administrator of the Office of Civil Defence. He is being detained at the Senate for his refusal to cooperate in the investigation on the alleged corruption at the Bureau of Customs.
The Senate security should be watchful. Some people just might smuggle Faeldon out of the Senate premises.
