The City Government honored the Baguio Kaitagi Judo Club, its judokas and the Kaitagi Kurash and Judo Teams Teams along with their athletes and coaches for their excellent performance in the local and national competitions they have participated in.
City officials led by Mayor Benjamin Magalong awarded separate resolutions approved by the city council to the two sports associations and athletes during the flag raising rites held at the City Hall, April 7, 2025.
Resolution No. 190 series of 2025, the City Government cited the Kaitagi Judo Club, its judokas and coaches for their outstanding performance in the 43rd Lakay Grappler’s Competition held on March 2, 2025 at the YMCA-Baguio, sponsored by Team Lakay. The club secured nine gold and four silver medals and achieved 1st Runner-up in the overall standings.
The gold medalists are Kit Jaiden Basungit, Brent Samuel Aquino, Romina Macaspac, Juan Gawwi Bulayo, Zack Laurence Berol, Marco Vin Milanes, Kate Tiffani Habab, Leane Siddayao, and Chloe Elize Maskay while the silver medalists are Cloud Molitas, Paul Sirach Aquino, Amir Wasan and Cherimar Miranda.
The coaches are Willy Diño, Sharon Diño, Francine Rillera and Rachel Salina.
Resolution No. 199 series of 2025 cites the Baguio Kaitagi Kurash and Judo team along with their athletes and coaches for their outstanding performance in the first National Kurash Beach Competition held on March 21-22, 2025, at Seagull White Beach Resort, Davao City. The event served as a selection competition for international Kurash tournaments.
The gold medalists are Jan Samuel Diño, Cloud Molitas, Leane Rain Siddayao, Ortiz Tindaan Jr. and Aeon Lance Kim. Aljen Josh Colintas and Jammil Bien Lorenzo are the silver medalists while the bronze medalists are Rieden Mayuga, Mark David Calingayan, Angielee Tindaan, Sandra Bacdayan, Elijah Ben Bedia and Seth Caleb Bedia.
They were coached by Sharon Kaybelle Diño, Racquel Salinas, Francine Rillera and Willy Diño.
