BONTOC, Mtn. Prov.– Unity in diversity!
That was the focus of the commitments of the newly elected officials of the province as they took their oaths before a multi-sectoral audience at the provincial plaza last June 28, 2019.
District 1 board members are Atty. Federico E. Onsat, Atty. Janice Liban-Barillo, Alexander C. Claver, and Dr. Joshua B. Fronda. For District 2 are board members Henry D. Bastian, Donato L. Danglose, Salvador K. Dalang, and Randolf T. Awisan.
The board members, Vice Governor Francis O. Tauli, and Congressman Maximo Y. Dalog, Jr. took their oaths before Judge Sergio T. Angannay, Executive Judge of the Regional Trial Courts here.

All the officials commonly exhorted the people to forget about “political colors” that they surely exhibited during the campaign and the election.
“Let us forego our political difference and work for the common good, for the progress of the province”, said Board Member Onsat, the first to speak, and was the common sentiments of the succeeding speakers.
Congressman Dalog echoed the unity and partnership of the office of the congressman and the provincial officials led by Governor Lacwasan, who also responded during his turn in the program that he and the other provincial officials will support the programs and projects of the congressman to the resounding applause of the audience.
It is the first term of Congressman Dalog who succeeded his father due to his untimely demise. The Lone District of the province was since then under the care-takership of Rep. Jesse Allen Mangaong of Kalinga
“Even if we belong to various political persuasions, we all work for the progress and betterment of the province”, Dalog continued.
It is also the first term of Bonifacio Lacwasan, Jr. as governor since he was elected as vice governor and only assumed the governorship after the death of the late Governor Leonard Mayaen.
Johnny Co, the head of the Internal Affairs Office in the province facilitated the turn over of responsibilities from the old officials represented by Board Member Raul Lapon to the newly elected Sangguniang Panlalawigan members and the administration led by Governor Lacwasan.
Giving thanks to the Almighty God for the good weather during the occasion, it was the common feeling that a new of hope for good governance has dawned on the province.
