LA TRINIDAD, Benguet (PIA) — Philippine National Police Chief General Dionardo Carlos reminded the Cordillera police personnel to remain disciplined and avoid politicking during his first command visit at the Police Regional Office–Cordillera recently.
“Continue to follow the guidance of the national headquarters at iyong lagi nating sinasabi palagi na bawat isang pulis ay dapat ay disiplinado because ikaw na disiplinadong pulis ay gagawin mo iyong tama,” Carlos told the men and women of the home of the most disciplined cops at the Camp Bado Dangwa in this town.
Carlos also stressed that each police officer should maintain social decorum and good relationship with people they interact with- their clients and the public.He emphasized and encouraged PROCOR cops to adhere to his 3D guidance: Discipline, Decorum, and Distinct.
“Maging disiplinado, iyung ating decorum, iyong ating pakikipagkapwa tao, iyung ating pakikipag usap, iyong ating disposition, the totality as a person as seen in public as a policeman dapat ay kagalang galang.”
Carlos also reminded the PRO-Cor on the PNP mandate and its main function to continue the delivery of public safety as a deputized agency in ensuring professional performance of duties in the upcoming 2022 national and local elections.
“We will continue to deliver the public services but we will be tasked by the Commission on Election as a deputized agency to ensure that we will perform professionally for peaceful elections that is basically the job that we will do,” Carlos said.
He also stressed to the police to stay apolitical and called on those who have family members and relatives who would run in their same areas of responsibility to volunteer to be transferred during the election period to avoid politicking.
In the same even, the PNP Chief awarded five deserving PRO-Cor cops with Medalya ng Kagalingan or the PNP Medal of Merit for their accomplishments in recent police operations.
The awardees are PLt. Col. Daniel Fakat for the successful implementation of OPLAN “HERODOTUS” Marijuana Eradication that resulted in the destruction of 1,756,300 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants and 940,000 grams of dried leaves and stalks with an estimated value of Php 452,100.00;
PMaj. Basilio Hopdayan Jr. for the successful service of warrant of arrest against Mark Gil Sawate, listed as No. 6 Most Wanted Person in yje Regional Level for the 4th Quarter of Calendar Year 2021, for the crime of rape by sexual assault and statutory rape by sexual assault;
PMaj. June Tabigo-on for the successful service of warrant of arrest against Danilo Baldemor Bergonia, listed as No. 2 Most Wanted Person in Regional Level for the 4th quarter of 2021, for the crime of murder.
PLt. Morris Nay-osan for the successful arrest of 11 individuals and the confiscation of eight bricks of dried marijuana leaves with an estimated weight of 7.82 kilos with a Dangerous Drug Board value of PHP 938,424.00 and PLt. Johnsen Unay for the successful service of warrant of arrest against Jing Gano Mina, listed as No. 2 Most Wanted Person in Regional Level for the 3rd quarter of this year, for the crime of murder.
