LA TRINIDAD, Benguet (PIA) — Philippine National Police Office – Civil Security Group (PNP-CSG) Director PMGen. Jesus Cambay Jr. affirmed that Cordillera is the home of the most disciplined cops in the country.
In his message during the Distinguished Visitors Program of the Police Regional Office – Cordillera last July 18, Cambay expressed that in his almost 90 percent of service in the region, he has proven the respectable qualities of the police here anchored in the Cordilleran brand of policing.
“Indeed, with those 27 years, I fully agree this is the home of the most disciplined cops. Surely because of our culture, and because of our leaders and our predecessors that set the standard of policing in this part of the country,” Cambay said.
The cops in the region are continuing the good deeds of their predecessors guided by the culture of “inayan”, “binnadang”, and brotherhood among others , which he called the Cordillera brand of policing.
He also encouraged other Cordilleran cops to work hard and persevere to achieve their dreams.
They should not be afraid of getting out their comfort zone but they have to prepare technically and tactically in order to gain more knowledge for them to be able to perform their duty efficiently, he said.
“If you love your family, you love your work, hindi ka mapapagod sa pagiging pulis and for sure, our predecessors, our elders will be proud of us and it will be turned over to the next generation,” Cambay shared.
Cambay who hails from Lagawe, Ifugao, is a member of Philippine Military Academy Class MAKATAO of 1989. He was assigned in various areas in the country and held key positions in the PNP before he was designated to lead the PNP-CSG. **JDP/DEG-PIA CAR
