5 TMWPs and 41 others arrested
Cordillera cops arrested four Ten Most Wanted Persons (TMWP) and 40 others on February 21 and 22, 2019.
Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) Regional Director PCSupt Rolando Nana said this was part of the two-day Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) of PROCOR being conducted regularly.
Armed with a warrant of arrest, joint personnel of Luna Municipal Police Station (MPS) of Apayao Police Provincial Office (PPO), Provincial Intelligence Division (PID) and the Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU-14) arrested Andres Aganon Balderama, the number 9 TMWP in the regional level on February 21, 2019 at barangay Luyon, Luna, Apayao for the crime of rape.
Three TMWPs in the station level of Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) were arrested by the police on Thursday through the strength of arrest warrants.
Kristofferson Canlas, 36, a resident of Angeles City, Pampanga and the no. 8 TMWP of Police Station (PS) 10 was arrested inside Justice Hall, Baguio city by the police after the court issued a warrant of arrest against him for the crime of carnapping.
Norjurany Varona Chamos, 42, listed as the no. 8 TMWP of BCPO PS1 was also arrested yesterday by police operatives at Brawer Street, Campo Filipino, Baguio City through a warrant of arrest for estafa.
Meanwhile, the police arrested Analyn Ngina Baguilod, 39, resident of Liwanag, Loakan, Baguio City and the no. 9 TMWP of BCPO PS5, at Kilometer 4, La Trinidad, Benguet for the crime of theft.
In Mountain Province, Apolonio Eublera Dela Cruz, the no. 2 TMWP of the Municipality of Paracelis and allegedly the leader of a gun-for-hire group that operates in the provinces of Isabela, Ifugao and Mountain. Province was arrested at sitio Maligaya, Barangay Kiling, Alfonso Lista, Ifugao by joint personnel of Paracelis MPS, Mountain Province Provincial Force Company (MPPFC), Natonin MPS, RID PROCOR, PIB and PIDMB Mtn. Province, and Alfonso Lista MPS for violation of P.D. 1866 otherwise known as the law on illegal possession of firearms.
The 36 other wanted persons were all arrested through arrest warrants.
PCSupt Nana said the police has strengthened their campaign against wanted persons by immediately serving warrants of arrest.**
