PRO-CAR strengthens efforts in resolving missing persons cases across CAR
PRO-CAR recorded a total of 25 missing persons across the region from January 1 to October 25, 2024. Baguio City recorded the highest number, with seven reported cases, followed by Kalinga with five, Benguet and Ifugao with four each, Abra and Mountain Province with two each, and Apayao with one reported case.
Of the 25 reported missing persons, 21 have already been found and reintegrated with their families. As of press time, four individuals remain missing: a 16-year-old male in Apayao; a 16-year-old female in Baguio City; an 81-year-old female in Baguio City; and a 37-year-old male in Benguet.

PRO-CAR’s Weeklong Drug Ops Yield Over P10.6M Worth of Illegal Drugs, Three Drug Personalities Arrested
The Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO-CAR) struck a significant blow against the illegal drug trade in the region, seizing illegal drugs valued at PhP10,690,360.00 and arresting three drug personalities in a series of operations conducted from October 21 to 27, 2024.
During the weeklong campaign, PRO-CAR conducted 11 anti-illegal drug operations across the provinces of Benguet, Ifugao, and Kalinga, and in the city of Baguio, leading to the confiscation of 27,150 pieces of Fully Grown Marijuana Plants, 40,000 grams of dried marijuana leaves and stalks with fruiting tops, and 67.70 grams of suspected shabu, with a combined estimated value of PhP10,690,360.00.
The most significant operations occurred in Benguet, where the Cabalyero Cops of Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) eradicated marijuana plants worth PhP8,070, 000.00, and in Kalinga, where the Lumin-awa Cops of Kalinga PPO also seized marijuana plants valued at PhP2,160,000.00.
Moreover, in Baguio City, the Napino Cops of Baguio City Police Office also had substantial success, resulting in the confiscation of suspected shabu worth PhP448, 800.00 and the arrest of two High Value Individuals, and in Ifugao, the Haggiyo Cops of Ifugao PPO confiscated a total of PhP11,560.00 worth of suspected shabu and arrested one Street Level Individual.
