PRO CAR HOLDS CONVERGENCE CARAVAN OF FRONTLINE SERVICES FOR PNP PERSONNEL AND DEPENDENTS
In line with the Philippine National Police’s commitment to personnel welfare, the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) hosted a Convergence Caravan of Frontline Services for PNP personnel and their dependents held at the Multi-Purpose Center in Camp Major Bado Dangwa on July 29, 2026.
The Regional Community Affairs and Development Division (RCADD), led by PCOL DAMIAN D OLSIM, initiated the activity as part of the 31st Police Community Relations (PCR) Month celebration, bringing together various government services in one centralized location to cater to police officers, their families, and the public with accessible, responsive, and genuinely people-centered assistance.
During the activity, PRO CAR awarded Certificates of Appreciation to participating partner agencies to recognize their vital contribution to bringing government services straight to the police community.
Among the government institutions that provided on-site support during the caravan were the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Social Security System (SSS), and PhilHealth, which offered social insurance, financial benefits, and health protection services. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) provided civil registry assistance for birth and marriage records along with PhilSys ID registration, while the Land Transportation Office (LTO), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) processed driver’s licensing, clearance applications, and professional regulation updates.
Rounding out the participating agencies were the National Police Commission–CAR (NAPOLCOM-CAR), which handled administrative supervision and welfare inquiries, alongside the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), which offered guidance on emergency response, fire safety, and inmate welfare.
In a message delivered BY PCOL JULIO S LIZARDO, Deputy Regional Director for Administration, on behalf of Regional Director PBGEN ERICSON D DILAG, the leadership emphasized that taking care of police personnel is foundational to community engagement.
“As we celebrate Police Community Relations Month, let this activity remind us that building stronger partnerships begins with taking care of our own people. Together, let us continue to foster trust, cooperation, and meaningful engagement with every stakeholder we serve,” he added.
Beyond providing direct assistance, the convergence caravan served as a collaborative platform to deepen ties between the PNP and fellow government institutions, furthering the shared goal of building safer, more resilient, and well-supported communities across the Cordillera region
MILESTONE ACHIEVED: 269 PRO CAR COPS DON NEW RANKS, REAFFIRM COMMITMENT TO PUBLIC SERVICE
Pride and joy filled the parade ground of Camp Major Bado Dangwa as 269 police officers took a defining step forward in their careers—not simply into higher ranks, but into a deeper obligation to the Filipino people—during a simultaneous oath-taking, donning, and pinning of ranks held today, July 29, 2026.
Led by PRO CAR Regional Director PBGEN ERICSON D DILAG, the ceremony was held both in person and online, bringing together 269 police officers advancing from the rank of Police Corporal up to Police Major. Personnel from the Regional Headquarters, Baguio City Police Office, Benguet Police Provincial Office, and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15 attended the ceremony in person, while promotees from other police provincial offices joined virtually.
The group of promotees consists of 78 Police Commissioned Officers (PCOs) and 191 Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs). Among the PCOs, 37 advanced to Police Major, five to Police Captain, and 36 to Police Lieutenant. Among the PNCOs, one was promoted to Police Executive Master Sergeant, 28 to Police Chief Master Sergeant, two to Police Senior Master Sergeant, 26 to Police Master Sergeant, 61 to Police Staff Sergeant, and 73 to Police Corporal.
All promotees passed a rigorous screening process conducted by the PRO CAR Promotion Board, proving their steadfast professionalism and dedication to duty under the CY 2026 Regular Promotion Program.
In his message, PBGEN DILAG congratulated the newly promoted officers while reminding them that higher rank brings greater accountability. He emphasized the importance of effective leadership, mentorship, and setting an example in every aspect of their service.
The event formed part of the Philippine National Police’s nationwide simultaneous promotion rites, highlighting the organization’s dedication to rewarding merit and fostering leadership. In donning their new ranks, the promoted personnel pledged their full support to the vision of a Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.
