OVER P21M WORTH OF ILLEGAL DRUGS CONFISCATED IN WEEKLONG DRUG OPS
As part of PRO Cordillera’s continuous campaign against illegal drugs, a total of Php21,220,220.00 worth of illegal drugs were seized and eight drug personalities were arrested in the weeklong drug operations conducted from November 19 to 25, 2023.
Citing the records from the Regional Operations Division, eight drug personalities were arrested after being caught in possession of a total of 19.15 grams of suspected shabu, with an overall Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php130,220.00.
The same report disclosed that the drug personalities arrested were identified as Danilo Cuengan, 38y/o, and Hadjie Golming,39 y/o, both
listed as High Value Individuals (HVI); Reymalth Liwayan, 34 y/o; Renor Togasi, 41y/o; Hulden Bangcolen, 31y/o; Darnelly Klay Dimoloy, 21y/o; Amrodi Disuma, 32y/o; and Joel Arzadon, 41y/o, all listed as Street Level Individuals (SLI).
The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the respective arresting units, while charges for violating the R.A.9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, were being prepared against the suspects.
Meanwhile, in separate marijuana eradication operations, 14 clandestine marijuana plantation sites with a total of 73,950 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants and 4,500 pieces of marijuana seedlings with an overall SDP of Php21,090,000.00 were discovered in the provinces of Benguet and Kalinga.
These were all burned by operatives after documentation, and follow-up operations are being conducted to identify the possible cultivators. Also, police personnel continuously conduct barangay visitation and information operations regarding the anti-illegal drugs campaign of the PNP.
Abandoned CTG encampment, several war materials discovered in Abra
An abandoned CTG Encampment as well as several war materials were discovered by Abra cops in the mountainous area of Brgy. Kili Tubo, Abra, on November 27, 2023.
According to the report submitted to the Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, joint operatives of the 143rd Special Action Company, 14th Special Action Battalion, Abra Police Provincial Office (PPO), Mt Province PPO, and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15, were conducting a minor Internal Security Operation at the said barangay when they discovered the encampment along with one anti-personnel mine (PVC type), two pieces of dynamite, four pieces of detonating cord, one ICOM handheld radio, two ICOM battery chargers, assorted wiring, one solar panel, one Motorola charger, one Nokia charger, two Dynamo, and one grease gun.
Also, other subversive documents, several communication devices, tools, medicine kits, and personal belongings were found in the said encampment.
The recovered items are now in the custody of Tubo MPS and EOD Abra for documentation and proper disposition, while operating units are continuously searching adjacent areas of the CTG encampment for the possible recovery of other subversive materials.
