Going above and beyond their duty, the Inayan cops of the Mountain Province 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) promptly responded to a farmer’s request for assistance in Brgy. Otucan Norte, Bauko, Mountain Province on May 19,2024.
According to the Mountain Province Police Provincial Office, a local farmer reached out to their office asking for help in harvesting his cabbages. Without hesitation, the officers joined the farmer in the field, working diligently alongside him.
Not only did the police officers assist with the harvest, but they also helped the farmer in transporting the cabbages from the garden to the highway, which is 3 kilometers away. This is to ensure fast and safe transport of the cabbages.
This initiative by the Mountain Province 1st PMFC exemplifies their unwavering commitment to serving and protecting the community, even when it involves going beyond their traditional duties.
Recognizing their exceptional and noteworthy contributions to the PNP organization, the PRO Cordillera Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR., led the presentation of PNP Medals to four Napino cops of the Baguio City Police Office on May 20, 2024.
The awardees received their Medalya ng Kagalingan (PNP Medal of Merit) during the Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held at the Masigasig Grandstand, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet.

Similarly, PCMS Al Thomson D Napeek and PCpl Lourdes A Mablay were honored with the same medal for their exceptional execution of a warrant of arrest against the No. 7 Top Most Wanted Person in the City Level for the 1st quarter of 2024 in Brgy. East Modernsite, Baguio City, on February 15, 2024.
In a decisive anti-drug operation, the Abante cops of the Abra Police Provincial Office (PPO) arrested a fisherman following the discovery and confiscation of shabu valued at PhP81,600.00 in his residence in Abra on May 19, 2024.
Based on the reports submitted to the PRO Cordillera Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR., a 43-year-old male drug personality was arrested in the search warrant operation by joint operatives of Abra PPO Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Provincial Intelligence Unit, and Bangued Municipal Police Station (MPS), Lacub MPS, 1st Abra Provincial Mobile Force Company, Regional Intelligence Division-Cordillera, Regional Intelligence Unit 14, and PDEA Abra at Sitio South, Brgy. Calaba, Bangued.
During the execution of the search warrant, operatives discovered four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing more or less 12 grams with a Standard Drug Price of PhP81,600.00 in his residence.
An on-site inventory of the recovered evidence was conducted in the presence of the arrested suspect, witnessed by media representative Jerum Bachiller and Barangay Kagawad Christian Lazo of Brgy. Zone 5, Bangued.
Following the operation, the suspect and the confiscated evidence were taken into custody by the PDEU for documentation and proper disposition. The arrest underscores the relentless efforts of the Abra PPO in combating illegal drugs and maintaining peace and order in the region.
