PRO-CAR’s CHIEF OF RHSU NOW A FULL-FLEDGED POLICE COLONEL
The Chief of the Regional Headquarters Support Unit (RHSU) of the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO-CAR), PCOL FERDINAND N OYDOC, is now a full-fledged Police Colonel following the Oath-Taking and Donning of Ranks Ceremony held at the Mulit-Purpose Center in Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, on June 7, 2024.
The event, which marked a significant milestone in PCOL OYDOC’s career, was attended by esteemed guests including his family and friends, his classmates from the PNPA Class “Sinaglaya” 2002, members of the command group, key officers, and other PRO-CAR personnel.
As the highlight of the program, the Chief of the Regional Personnel and Records Management Division, PCOL ARNOLD D RAZOTE, read the promotion order. This was followed by a solemn blessing of the rank insignias and accouterments led by the Regional Pastoral Officer, Rev. Fr. (PMAJ) ALEXANDER V PARDO, and culminated in the oath-taking and donning of ranks administered by PRO-CAR Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR.
In his congratulatory message, PBGEN PEREDO JR. commended PCOL OYDOC for his unwavering dedication, competence, and steadfast commitment to the principles of duty and service. He also encouraged other PRO-CAR personnel to be inspired by this achievement, strive for excellence, and support one another in their pursuit of greatness.

CABALYERO COPS DISCOVER TWO SACKS OF MARIJUANA WORTH P3-M ALONG LA TRINIDAD’S ROAD SIDE
The Cabalyero cops of La Trinidad Municipal Police Station (MPS) found two sacks brimming with marijuana stacks along the Lamut Road in Shilan, La Trinidad, Benguet, in the early morning of June 6, 2024.
According to La Trinidad MPS, they were conducting regular mobile patrol at the said area when they noticed the suspicious sacks left abandoned along the roadside. Upon closer inspection, the contents were confirmed to be marijuana stalks. Without delay, the police officers promptly contacted the Barangay Captain of Shilan, Mr. Melicio Orid, who assisted in the inventory process.
After the inventory, the marijuana stacks weighing 29 kilograms with a Standard Drug Price PhP3,480,000.00 were transported to the La Trinidad MPS for documentation and proper disposition.
This significant operation underscores the efficacy of intensified patrols and strategic law enforcement measures. Concurrently, police officers are conducting a thorough investigation to identify the perpetrators, and they are actively engaging with barangay officials and the local community to gather vital information and cooperation to swiftly bring the culprits to justice.
Abante cops of Abra PPO welcome a new provincial director
The men and women of Abra Police Provincial Office (PPO) will embark on a new leadership as they officially welcome their newly-installed Provincial Director, PCOL JEREMIAS G OYAWON, in a Turn-over of Command Ceremony held at the Multi-Purpose Center in Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, on June 7, 2024.
The ceremony was presided over by the Regional Director of the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO-CAR), PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, and witnessed by other members of the PRO-CAR Command Group and other personnel of PRO-CAR.
Stepping down from his role as the Officer-in-Charge Provincial Director, PCOL FROILAND B LOPEZ warmly welcomed PCOL OYAWON, extending his gratitude to all Abra PPO personnel for their unwavering support and cooperation during his tenure and under the outgoing leadership.
In response, PCOL OYAWON conveyed his appreciation to the outgoing Provincial Director and expressed his earnest gratitude to the PNP leadership for entrusting him with this significant responsibility. He emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration among Abra PPO personnel as they strive to uphold peace and security within the province.
In his message, PBGEN PEREDO JR. thanked PCOL LOPEZ for elevating the Abra PPO to new heights of accomplishment and congratulated PCOL OYAWON on his new appointment.
