Over 30M worth of Illegal drugs seized, 11 drug personalities arrested in PROCAR’s weeklong drug ops
As the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) continues to intensify its efforts in the campaign against illegal drugs, over P30M worth of illegal drugs were seized and 11 drug personalities were arrested during the weeklong operations conducted across the region from March 10 to 16, 2025.
Based on the reports from the Regional Operations Division of PRO CAR, a total of 42 operations were conducted, leading to the confiscation of 129,720 fully grown marijuana plants, 150 marijuana seedlings, 30,016.13 grams of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops, 5,000.00 grams of dried marijuana stalks, and 28.53 grams of suspected shabu, with an overall Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PhP30,345,953.20.
Additionally, the operations resulted in the arrest of 11 drug personalities, three of whom were identified as High Value Individuals (HVI), while eight were identified as Street Level Individuals (SLI).
The most significant operations took place in Benguet, where the Cabalyero Cops of Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) eradicated marijuana plants with a total SDP of PhP19,450,000.00, and in Kalinga, where the Lumin-awa Cops of Kalinga PPO confiscated illegal drugs worth PhP9,716,000.00 and apprehended two SLIs.
Meanwhile, in Mountain Province, PhP1,054,400.00 worth of illegal drugs were seized and one SLI was arrested by the Inayan Cops of Mountain Province PPO, and in Baguio City, two HVIs and three SLIs were apprehended, leading to the confiscation of suspected shabu valued at PhP103,575.60 by the Napino Cops of Baguio City Police Office.
Also, in Ifugao, PhP21,284.00 worth of illegal drugs were seized and one SLI was arrested by the Haggiyo Cops of Ifugao PPO, while in Apayao, the Pasindayaw Cops of Apayao PPO confiscated suspected shabu worth PhP693.60 and nabbed one HVI and one SLI.
