P116.389M worth of MJ eradicated
Operatives of PROCOR and PDEG conducted a big time eradication operation, dubbed as “Coplan First Giant”, which resulted in the discovery and destruction of marijuana plants and marijuana oil with overall Standard Drug Price (SDP) amounting to Php 116,389,000.00 in ten plantation sites at Mt. Chumanchill, Brgy. Loccong, Tinglayan, Kalinga on September 15-17, 2021.
Operatives were able to eradicate 44,350 pieces of Fully Grown Marijuana Plants (FGMJP) with estimated SDP of Php 88,490,000.00 from a land area of 44,350 sqm.
Meanwhile, two sites served as a production area where more or less 230 kilograms of dried marijuana plants with an estimated SDP of Php 27,600,000.00 and fourteen (14) bottles of marijuana oil (100ml/bottle) with an estimated SDP of Php 308,000.00.
Documentation and photography were done in the area of operation. Afterwards, all the prohibited plants and oil were burned onsite while intensive investigation is being conducted to identify the possible cultivators.
PROCOR inaugurates hygeine facility
PBGEN LAWRENCE B COOP, PROCOR Deputy Regional Director for Administration, together with Ms. Bong Lee, PROCOR Officers’ Ladies Club adviser, led the inauguration of the PROCOR Hygiene Facility at Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet on September 17, 2021. It is a part of the project dubbed as “Sabi ni ‘Nay, Maghugas ng kamay: Hygiene campaign for PNP Regional Offices”,
The program started with an invocation rendered by Rev. Fr. Bede Lee of San Jose Husband of Mary Parish Church. Afterwards, the ribbon cutting, blessing, turn-over of hygiene kits, ceremonial handwashing and showing of clean hands were conducted.
The construction of the Hygiene Facility was a corroborative effort of the Officers’ Ladies Club, Manila Water Foundation and Soroptomist International Kaagapay as the Project Sponsors and Implementing Partners. Also, the Department of Health approved the Facility’s Design & Signages.
In his message, PBGEN COOP, extended his gratitude to all the sponsors especially the Officers’ Ladies Club for the construction of the said facility and the turn-over of hygiene kits that are very much crucial in this pandemic time.
Drug personality arrested
A laborer listed in the Regional Top Ten Illegal Drug Personality (RTTIDP) , a High Vale Individual (HVI), was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted in the morning of September 20, 2021 in Caponga, Tublay, Benguet.
Joint operatives of RID/RSOG COR together with Benguet PPO, RIU-14, RECU COR and PDEG SOU-14, launched a buy-bust that resulted in the arrest of Herman Benito Molitas, 46, a resident of Kibungan, Benguet.
Molitas was arrested after he sold one (1) heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 3 grams with PHP 20,400.00 Standard Drug Price (SDP) to an undercover operative.
The confiscated evidence were marked and inventoried on-site in the presence of Prosecutor Hazen Binayan; Punong Barangay Alnorwin Suaking of Caponga, Tublay, Benguet and a Media representative, Dionisio Dennis.**
