Killer maid in Baguio City arrested
Eventually, justice will be served with the arrest of the killer maid Marites Rilloraza Judan who goes by the aliases Marites Relloraza, Florence Macaalay, Marites De Guzman, Brenda Mendoza and Brenda Ducusin. She is known as a notorious thief and a murderer posing as a housemaid. She was the primary suspect in the killing of 15-year-old Allery Wagayen in Pinsao Proper, Baguio City on May 24, 2016 who was found with 13 stab wounds inside their residence. This sensational case prompted the Baguio City Police Office to list her as the No. 1 Top Most Wanted Person in Baguio City, together with his live-in partner who was likewise arrested in Pangasinan on the evening of February 6, 2019.
The killer maid and his live-in partner Manuel Carbonel Balangatan was arrested at about 7:10 PM on February 6, 2019 in a joint police operation conducted by the personnel of the Regional Intelligence Unit 14 –Cordillera (RIU14), Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), Alaminos City Police Station (Alaminos City PS), Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (Pangasinan PPO), La Union Police Provincial Office (LUPPO), and Provincial Public Safety Company (PPSC) of Pangasinan PPO in the vicinity of Dampay Street, Poblacion, Alaminos City, Pangasinan.
Through warrants, Judan “the killer maid” was arrested for the: crime of robbery with homicide issued by Judge Emmanuel Cacho Rasing of Regional Trial Court, First Judicial Region, Branch 3, Baguio City; crime of Qualified Theft issued by Judge Ethelwolda Jaravata of RTC Branch 34, Balaoan, La Union; crime of Adultery issued by Judge Edilberta Casiano of the Municipal Trial Circuit Court, San Fernando City, La Union.
Further, Judan and Balangatan were also the primary suspects in a most recent robbery incident in Sta Cruz, Ilocos Sur last January 5, 2019 and also became most wanted persons in that place.
These wanted persons were turned over to the courts concerned.
3 pushers nabbed in Kalinga
Cordillera police arrested three drug pushers in a buy-bust operation in Tabuk City, Kalinga yesterday morning.
Joint police operatives of the Regional Intelligence Division (RID), Regional Intelligence Unit 14 (RIU14) and Tabuk City Police arrested Annabel Estrada 40, Marlon Olimos, 32, and Jackielou Macabenta, all residents of Paliparan 3, Dasmariñas, Cavite, after selling two plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be “shabu” and weighing approximately 10 grams to the police agents who acted as buyers during a buy-bust operation at Purok 7, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
Another two transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be “shabu” and weighing approximately 55 grams were discovered when the police conducted a body search on the suspects.
Also confiscated from the suspects were cellphones used for their transaction and the Php2,200.00 buy-bust money.
The suspects are now facing charges for violation of RA 9165 known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Self-inflicted gunshot wound
On February 2, 2019 at about 8:20 PM, Pinukpuk MPS personnel received an information from a concerned citizen that there was a man who allegedly sustained a gunshot wound at Brgy Magaogao, Pinukpuk, Kalinga and was brought to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga. Acting on the said information, said personnel proceeded to the hospital for verification and identified the victim as Rodjen Espinas, 22, farmer and a resident of aforementioned barangay.
Investigation disclosed that at about 6:00 PM of same date, Dionisio Duguit, also a resident of same barangay and father in-law of the victim stated that he heard a gunshot from their “kaingin” prompting him to verify. Upon arrival thereat, he saw the victim lying with an injury on his stomach and with a caliber .22 on his side that allegedly accidentally fired and hit the victim. The victim was rushed by his father-in-law to the hospital for medical attention while the firearm was allegedly left at the place of incident. Pinukpuk MPS coordinated with the concerned barangay chairman for the possible recovery/surrender of the firearm.

2 in Abra nabbed
Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) nabbed three wanted persons in a two-day police operation against wanted persons on February 4 to 5, 2019 in Abra and Kalinga.
Tracker team of Tabuk City Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested the No. 7 Top Most Wanted Person in Tabuk City identified as Brenhol Basungit Lasang, 23, married, and a resident of Amlao, Mabato, Tabuk City, Kalinga on February 4, 2019 at around 10:05 PM at said place by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Nicanor S. Pascual JR., Regional Trial Court (RTC), 2nd Judicial Region, Branch 25, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga for violation of the comprehensive firearms and ammunition regulation act with a bail bond of Php100,000.00.
Meanwhile, tracker team of Villaviciosa Municipal Police Station (MPS), Bangued MPS, Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) of Abra Police Provincial Office (Abra PPO) and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – Abra (CIDG-Abra) arrested Jedrick Ocawe Gona and Jeiel Adaro Persona, both 20 in separate operations.
Mr. Gona was arrested yesterday afternoon in Apapaya, Villiviciosa, Abra by joint personnel of Villaviciosa MPS and CIDG -Abra by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Corpuz B. Alzate of RTC, Branch 2, Bangued, Abra for a crime of attempted rape in relation to RA 7610 with recommended bail of Php180,000.00 while Persona was arrested in the afternoon of February 4, 2019 in Santiago Street, Zone 4, Bangued, Abra by personnel of Bangued MPS and PMFC of Abra PPO by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Raphiel F. Alzate, RTC, Branch 1, Bangued, Abra for the crime of statutory rape by sexual assault with a bail bond of Php200,000.00.
