Estafa and Illegal Recruitment
At about 1:00 PM of July 05, 2019, at Magsaysay Ave., Barangay Lakandula, Baguio City, joint forces of law enforcers conducted an entrapment operation and arrested Dolores P. Ibasco on complaint of Julia N. Cross who continuously sent money amounting to Php1,047,000.00 for a supposed employment in Israel and for coffee products but which did not materialize.
Recovered Illegal lumber
at about 5:30-7:30 PM of July 5, 2019, law enforcers and DENR officers conducted an anti-illegal logging operation at Barangay Palitod, Paracelis, Mountain Province that resulted in the confiscation of abandoned lumber of assorted dimensions as follows: 11pcs 2x6x14, 3pcs 2x12x14, 3pcs 2x6x16, 3pcs 2x12x12, 2pcs 2x6x10, 2pcs 2x10x12, 2pcs 2x6x14, 2pcs 2x8x14, 1pc 2x10x12, 1pc 2x10x14, 1pc 2x8x14 and 31 pcs all with estimated 532 board feet and with estimated market value of Php14,896.00. These are now with the DENR. No arrest was made.
Theft
It happened at around 3:00 a.m. of July 9, 2019 at Purok Maligaya, Brgy Dagupan, Luna, Apayao . The victim was Chuckyflor Banayos Patayan, 30 years old, single, member of the Philippine National Police presently assigned at Apayao Provincial Mobile Force Company based at Camp Allan San Francisco, Luna, Apayao and a resident of Kabugao, Apayao. The suspect was Sean Rovin Viernes Bunagan a.k.a. Ron, 19 y/oALS student, single, with an unidentified companion, both residents of Barangay San Isidro Sur, Luna, Apayao.
Investigation disclosed that at around 12:00 AM to 3:00 a.m. of July 8, 2019, the victim together with PCpl Tyrone David Villafuerte were on duty at the gate of Camp Allan, San Francisco, Luna, Apayao when two (2) malefactors passed by holding a bicycle going towards Sta. Lina, Luna, Apayao. The victim suspected that the bicycle so they stopped the suspects. After his duty, the victim went home and found out that his bicycle was missing. An operation was conducted and the suspects were arrested.
