Cops net 4 illegal drugs suspects
The sustained drive against illegal drugs resulted in the arrest of two High-Value Individuals (HVI) and two Street Level Individuals (SLI) in Benguet and Kalinga, respectively, on Monday, July 1, 2020.
Thru the implementation of search warrants; Fritz Gerald Ricona Villena a High-Value Individual (HVI) was arrested by Benguet Police and intelligence operatives of PROCOR at around 6:25 AM in his residence in Alapang Proper, La Trinidad, Benguet. Seized during the search were 3 heat-sealed transparent sachets containing white crystalline substances believed to be shabu with a total estimated weight of 1.4 grams, having a Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of Php9,520.00 and assorted drug paraphernalia.
In another search warrant implementation, Kalinga Police and Intelligence operatives of PROCOR arrested the other three illegal drug carriers, one of whom is also listed as a HVI identified as Sixto Wacnang Ayong Jr., aka Jun Jun. Seized from him were 2 medium-sized transparent heat-sealed plastic sachets containing white crystalline substances believed to be shabu weighing more or less 10 grams with an estimated DDB value of more or less Php70,000.00; one bundle empty transparent plastic sachet; one bundle money transaction receipts; and 1 laminated photocopy of OR/CR; Vennie A. Natividad a Street Level Individual (SLI) from whom was seized one transparent heat-sealed plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu weighing more or less 5 grams with estimated DDB value of Php35,000.00 and 1 weighing scale; and Wakar Bayawoc Langngag, another SLI. Seized from him were 5 transparent heat-sealed plastic sachets containing white crystalline substances believed to be shabu weighing more or less 1 gram with an estimated street value of Php 6,000.00 and 6 small plastic transparent sachets with residue. They were all arrested in Barangay Lacnog, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
The onsite inventory was witnessed by the arrested suspects and representatives of the media, DOJ, and Barangay officials thereat.
They are now facing charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.**
