Donated lot and building from TAFARMCO, turned over to Tuba MPS
As part of their continuing and growing partnership, Tuba Municipal Police Station (MPS) officially received the donated lot and building from Taloy Sur Farmers’ Multipurpose Cooperative (TAFARMCO) during the Memorandum of Agreement Signing, Blessing and Turn-over Ceremony on September 3, 2021.
The lot, along with the P1.6 million worth building, situated in Taloy Sur Proper, Tuba, Benguet was donated by TAFARMCO to Tuba MPS to be utilized as a Police Community Precinct (PCP).
As part of the ceremony, PMAJ LEONARD A DANASEN, Chief of Police of Tuba MPS, and Ms. Erlinda C Paulino, Chairwoman of TAFARMCO Board of Directors, signed a Memorandum of Agreement, duly witnessed by PCOL REYNALDO D PASIWEN, Provincial Director of Benguet Police Provincial Office; Atty. George Fukai III, Legal Officer of the Local Government Unit of Tuba; Mr. Angel P. Garcia Jr., Chief Executive Officer of TAFARMCO; Hon. Juan A Sibayan, Punong Barangay of Taloy Sur, Tuba, Benguet; Hon. Joel Pacio, Punong Barangay of Taloy Norte; other Barangay Officials of Taloy Sur and Taloy Norte; other officers and members of TAFARMCO; along with the community.
After the ceremonial cutting of ribbon, Rev. Fr. Paulino C Sarac, Parish Priest of St. Paul Parish Church, led the blessing of the new building.
In his message, PMAJ DANASEN expressed his appreciation to TAFARMCO officers and members for their generosity to Tuba MPS. He also mentioned that he is hopeful that the fruitful partnership amongst TAFARMCO, Tuba MPS, and Tuba LGU will continue to grow and strengthen as all parties reach greater heights of public service together.
Farmer arrested for fire arm law violation
Law enforcement operatives of CIDG Baguio and Tuba MPS implemented the search warrant issued by Hon. Mervin Jovito S Samadan, Acting Executive Judge of RTC Branch 40, Dagupan City which resulted in the arrest of Alberto Galwan Lamsie, 71 and a resident of Sitio Topinao, Poblacion, Tuba, Benguet
During the implementation of the search warrant, found and confiscated at Lamsie’s residence were: one (1) Cal. 22 rifle; 10 live ammo for Caliber 22; one (1) wire fuse colored red; two (2) pieces improvised blasting cap and; three (3) pieces Emulsion Explosives.
According to the same report, the involvement of suspect in an alleged indiscriminate firing and threatening of his neighbors using his undocumented firearm sometime on August 2021 at his residence prompted the operatives of CIDG Baguio to conduct a surveillance and apply for a Search Warrant.
The items seized and the suspect were brought to CIDG Baguio for proper documentation while charges for violation of the comprehensive law on firearms and ammunitions regulation (RA 10591) is being prepared against him.
P1.2-M MJ seized, top drug personality arrested
A farmer with a standing warrant of arrest for illegal drugs was arrested after operatives seized P1.2-M worth of dried marijuana bricks in a police chase and armed encounter in Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga on September 7, 2021.
Joint operatives of Kalinga PPO, RID/RSOG, PDEA, RMFB 15 and HPG arrested Victor Guimba, 36, listed as High Value Individual (HVI) and Regional Top Ten Drug Personality.
They earlier received information that a gray Toyota Fortuner from Metro Manila is in Tabuk City to fetch and get marijuana from the suspect. When the vehicle was spotted in Bakras, Bulanao, Tabuk City, operatives went to check the occupants of the car and confirmed that one passenger was indeed Guimba. As they were about to arrest him, he pulled his gun and pointed it at one of the operatives, after which, he sped off in his vehicle and drove towards Mapaoay, Ipil, Kalinga.
Operatives gave chase but instead of the suspect surrendering, he fired upon the operatives who then fired back.
The suspect’s vehicle then plunged into the rice field at the side of the road, while Guimba sustained a gunshot wound on his left thigh and was immediately rushed to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital. The following were taken from him: ten (10) pieces of dried Marijuana bricks with Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PHP 1,200,000.00; a Cal 9mm Smith and Wesson with 4 live ammunition; 2 hand grenades; cash; a cellphone; a bag with documents; and the vehicle.
Also, a minor who was with Guimba inside the car was rescued by the operatives and was brought to Tabuk CPS for proper disposition.
Php 38.5K worth of MJ oil seized
A certain Francis Dalimot Coderias, 22, native of Alcala, Pangasinan and resident of Upper Pinget, Baguio City was nabbed in a buy-bust operation.along Bokawkan Road, Barangay P. Burgos, Baguio City on September 7, 2021.
Coderias was arrested by joint operatives of BCPO, RSOG, PDEG and RACU COR after he sold to an operative acting as poseur-buyer 11 pcs of brown bottle containing suspected marijuana oil. Each bottle contained more or less 60ml and is worth Php 3,500.00 each with a total of MOL 660ml and market value of Php38,500.00.
During the course of his arrest, seized from his possession were the buy-bust money and the cellular phone used in the transaction.
Markings and inventory of the pieces of evidence were conducted onsite in the presence of the suspect and witnessed by Kagawad Ricardo Rodriguez of Barangay P. Burgos, Prosecutor Don Immanuel Jonathan Vergara and Mr. Charles Nikko Limon of RNG Luzon.**
