LA TRINIDAD, Benguet (PIA)–The Police Regional Office- Cordillera capped National Women’s Month 2023 celebration with the recognition of seven female police personnel for their noteworthy accomplishments.
PRO Cor Regional Director Police Brigadier General David Peredo Jr. and Civil Service Commission – Cordillera Regional Director Nerissa Canguilan, the guest of honor and keynote speaker during the culmination program, led the recognition of the lady cops at Camp Bado Dangwa on March 27.
Recipients of the Medalya ng Kagalingan or the PNP Medal of Merit are PCpt. Celina Pinading of the Pinukpuk Municipal Police Station (MPS) for her contributions that led to the arrest of the Number 7 Most Wanted Person (MWP) at the Regional Level in Pinukpuk, Kalinga; PCpt. Genna Lumayyung from Luna MPS in Apayao for the arrest of an individual listed as the No. 3 MWP at the Provincial Level, and PCpt. Aida Esteban from the Sabangan MPS in Mountain Province for the arrest of an individual listed as the No.1 MWP at the Provincial Level in Cubao, Quezon City.
The Medalya ng Kasanayan or the PNP Efficiency Medal awardees are Non-Uniformed Personnel Susana Molitas and PCpl Marichu Wallace from the Regional Personnel and Records Management Division for forging a memorandum of agreement with the Baguio-Benguet Psychological Services and Consultancy Center, and with the Philippine Statistics Authority, respectively. This is awarded to personnel who rendered service for the successful partnership of the PRO Cor with different offices.
A Medalya ng Kasanayan was awarded to NUP Josie Mayangao of the Regional Plans and Strategy Management Division for the successful seminar/workshop on the Annual Operational Plans and Budget and ISO 9001-2015 Quality Management System Cascading and lecture on UPER parameters to the different provincial and city police offices.
Meanwhile, the Medalya ng Ugnayang Pampulisya or the PNP Relations Medal was awarded to PMSg Norie Pis-oy of the Benguet PPO for the distribution of food packs and school supplies to 60 Grade 6 students of Bahong Elementary School and the conduct of a lecture on Anti-Child Abuse and Rape Awareness Campaign in Bahong, La Trinidad, Benguet. This medal is awarded to PNP personnel for meritorious achievement in the field of police relations.
Canguilan emphasized the significance of gender equality and social inclusion in applying to social work as uniformed and non-uniformed personnel of the Philippine National Police.
“May we all become change agents in driving forces in mainstreaming gender equality and social inclusion in your programs, activities, and projects and your day-to-day interaction with your internal and external stakeholders.
