BONTOC, Mtn. Province – “We offer free Negosyo sa lahat ng Pilipino!”
This was the banner for the orientation of Project HOPE in the province, spelled out as Honest Opportunities for Philippine Entrepreneurs that caters to the hope for better lives.
Some eighty (80) entrepreneurs from the province attended the launching of Project HOPE at the Provincial Multi-purpose Hall here last Wednesday, April; 18, 2024.
Project HOPE is a livelihood program sanctioned by Malacañang as endorsed by the president, senators, governors, and mayors. The program was launched in various parts of the country and supported by local leaders and government agencies.
It aims to provide a free livelihood programs to entrepreneurs in the province who are now holders of certificates by their attendance at the orientation cum launching of the program.
Project HOPE is a social enterprise that aims to provide a free livelihood program by maximizing the power of business franchises and the potential of e-commerce as an effective tool to alleviate poverty, bridging buyers and sellers who want to directly trade with consumers.
Board Member Kapon Gomgom-o, the Provincial Chapter Chairman of the Provincial League of Councilors (PCL), said that he was contacted by the national PCL to coordinate participants in the conduct of the seminar in the province.
Angelique Lei Manuel, the representative of Project HOPE, oriented the participants on the business ventures of the government-supported organization. Her talk was augmented by a video presentation.
Based on what she said and the online orientation, the first step is to attend the orientation in person as the Certificate of Attendance is the passport to the next step which is to contact Project Hope.
From then on a system of steps including contract signing will be made between the prospective entrepreneur and Project HOPE online. Accordingly, when the requirements are perfected, the amount of P100,000.00 will be downloaded to the entrepreneur as a start-up capital for the business of his/her choice.
For current business owners, the Revolving Product Capital (RPC) may be granted up to One Million pesos and even to new entrepreneurs who will perform well.
The participant’s role is to follow the steps and processes and to look for clients with the use of social media.
The products are rice, usually 25 kilos or half cavan, groceries, health and beauty products, and others. They have more than 5,000 products to offer budding entrepreneurs.
The seed capital may be increased up to a million once the entrepreneurs perform well and are qualified.
The launching was also the turnover of free business franchises as the participants received their certificates of participation which were a manifestation of the free Negosyo offered to every Filipino that subscribed to the program.
Board Member Gomgom-o said, “We have to take this opportunity once granted by the government in the hope that we live a life of prosperity”.
During the program, the certificates were distributed to the participants who came from different municipalities of the province.
Profuse appreciation was expressed by the participants, as well as those in other provinces on the video presentation, for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to avail of the financial assistance being granted by the government.** ROGER SACYATEN
