Bontoc, Mtn. Province – In pursuit of the quest for the development and promotion of tourism in the municipality of Sadanga, personnel from the Provincial Tourism Office will heed the invitation for them to facilitate the conduct of tourism planning sessions in Sadanga on August 9-10, 2018.
The invitation was an offshoot of the activities being conducted by the Provincial Tourism Office in the various municipalities in a bid to improve the tourism industry of the province.
Tourism planning seminars were already conducted in the municipalities of Paracelis and Barlig. The same will be done in Natonin and Besao.
During the 2-day event, the tourism personnel will talk on basic tourism awareness, tourism situationer (municipal and provincial), tourism profiling, and value chain analysis on tourism. Workshops will be the main feature of the event.
Sadanga hosts the wonderful Fuwaas Falls which is being frequented by tourists after it was featured by Jessica Sojo on GMA TV. It is here where the mystical Angoten Cave and Dansel Cave are located in the upland Barangay Belwang.
Other tourist attractions in the town are the Maatong Communal Hot Bath, a sulfuric spring with medical properties located in the middle of the Poblacion.
The Anabel village and rice terraces are also a sight to behold. The terraces are like a helmet with the village located in the middle. These are among the tourist attractions aside from the culture of the people.
“May we request your personnel from the Provincial Tourism Office to be with us on August 9-10 to facilitate said activity”, wrote Mayor Jose A. Limmayog, Jr. to Governor Bonifacio Lacwasan, Jr.
Ninety participants from the eight barangays are expected to attend.
