For a considerable time, we had been treated by the media, the traditional and social platforms alike, to the “intra-corporate” squabbles in the Cordillera Basic Sectors Transport Cooperative (CBSTC). Now the main controversies have been brought to the proper forum, in the Regional Trial Court of Baguio City where it should have been filed in the first place.
This, as the group of Jude Wal filed last March 27 with the Regional Trial Court of Baguio City (raffled to Branch 78) a case for quo warranto, injunction with preliminary injunction, and mandamus with preliminary mandatory injunction.
Respondents in the case are Engr. Junifer V. Lausan, Rolando Yambot, Joseph W. Guanso Jr., and others.
Petitioners in the case seek for the issuance of a writ of preliminary injunction or temporary restraining order to stop respondents “from deceiving the public by misrepresenting themselves as officers of CSBTC and prevent them from making any misrepresentations and prevent them from representations with all or any banking institutions and partner government agencies such as the LTO, LTFRB, and Local Government Units for and in behalf of CSBTC.”
Also prayed for in the case is for the issuance of a writ of preliminary mandatory injunction for respondents to immediately surrender all CSBTC records, documents, properties and to stop them from acting as Board of directors and officers of the cooperative.
Since the case was newly filed, respondents have yet to file their answer to the petition or the allegations of the group of Jude Wal. When the answer or response is filed, the same shall also be published here with the same prominence. **
