LA TRINIDAD, Benguet — The local government of Tublay reopened its tourist destinations to residents of the province subject to health protocols and guidelines on the operation of tourism sites and activities amid the COVID pandemic.
Mayor Armando Lauro issued Executive Order Number 01 series 2021 establishing the general guidelines governing the operation of particular tourism sites and activities in the municipality from January 7 to February 2, 2021.
Local residents of Benguet may now enjoy visiting some natural and man-made destinations in Tublay guided by a directive issued by Mayor Armando Lauro for a period of one month.
The local government considered the reopening of tourism destinations due to the clamor of the people and in consideration of the need of the people to restore their physical and mental health affected by the pandemic.
Tourist destinations opened are the Asin Hotspring, Ahonda Caves, Rock Formations and Jungle Adventure and Balete Tree, all in Tuel, and the Ridge Café and Polig’s Berry Farm in barangay Ambassador.
Visitors are required to present health declaration forms and valid IDs. They also have to abide by the prescribed carrying capacity per site; 15 persons for Asin Hotspring while 10 persons for the cottage and not more than 10 persons for Ahonda Caves, Rock Formations and Jungle Adventure and maximum of five persons per tour guide for the Polig’s Berry Farm. In all sites, minimum health standards should be strictly adhered to.
Personnel from the Municipal Police Station, concerned barangay officials and their designated Health and Safety Protocol Officers will oversee compliance with health and safety protocols such as wearing of face masks, face shields, observance of social distancing, and availability of hand sanitizers/disinfectants.
