Some people seem to be always in the pink of health.
Others seem to be magnets of good opportunities. The good chances in life appear to be always there for their picking.
On the other end of the spectrum are the opposite, The ones who always seem to be going through some bad luck. As if the effects of negativity are always swarming over them. And, indeed they have a negative attitude. They are forever the pessimist. In order to achieve something, whether material or not, they have to exert a lot of effort and determination. Nothing ever comes to them on a silver platter.
These are the kinds who might need this suggestion. To just keep going, no matter what.
During the campaign for US President Donald Trump’s first try to go for the highest political position in the US, I chanced upon an interview on TV of his son who was with him campaigning everywhere. Asked about the most valuable thing he might have learned from the whole thing, he said, it was the tenacity of his father to just keep going. No matter the adversity, he just kept on going.
I guess for us who were born without silver spoons in our mouths, that we always have to exert mighty hard to achieve things, that might be the lesson of a lifetime.
No matter the disappointments, we just have to keep on going. Storms might be in front of us, we might not be feeling well, indicators might be against our plans or conditions are adverse, but to succumb is not an option. Otherwise, we would slide down further into an abyss and become as good as dead.
So we just have to keep on going. Therein lies our only chance to someday emerge on a bright spot at the end of a dark tunnel.
Or even if we don’t get there, and find out we were meant to end up in a dark spot, at least we can be contented we did every thing within our means and used every capability we were bestowed by creation to try to reach where we were meant to be.
That way, we won’t be defensive in the end. We will instead be confident we persevered to the best we can.
In reality, however, those with such perseverance almost always end up at the very least, in a better place.**
