The words that come out of our mouths bear a heavier weight than we can ever imagine. With words one can inspire an entire nation, change their perception and their values that they have lived by throughout their lives.
Sweet words are often used by con-men to get what they want. And all too often we start to develop a sweet tongue, unknowingly falling into a meticulous trap.
The right words said at the right time can change a person’s life. On the other side it can absolutely decimate a person’s will. All of us have been blessed with a terrifying weapon, and at the same time, a life-saving tool.
Oaths in court are not something to be dismissed easily. A country’s national anthem, often involving a few paragraphs, has in it history that is older than most of the people who sing the anthem. History that is filled with so much blood.
Poetry, with so few words can take from a person several hours to days worth of time to create. Yet in the end, we feel satisfied of the work of art that is laying in front of us.
As students, the words in that essay part of an exam holds a big part in deciding whether we fail or pass the entire semester. Properly worded excuse to a teacher can help us escape from the wrath of a stressed educator.
One of the heaviest form of words, prayer, holds a great control where our lives are headed. It can give us the assistance we need in going forward, and provide an option in expressing our gratefulness for all that we have been blessed with.
The words that came out of the mouth of a man from Laguna became a major factor in attaining our democracy today. It is a vital part in understanding our history.
We have been blessed with a mouth to speak up, not to be silent when there is injustice in front of our eyes. Just as we have been blessed with a brain to learn from our mistakes and not remain ignorant for the rest of our lives.
All that comes from our mouths cannot be underestimated. Ultimately it is a tool to spread a message. Unfortunately, we humans have a tendency to misuse what we have been blessed with. Fortunately, we are a species able to learn. And a group that can spread love and positivity.**
