Inday Sarah has already announced her intentions to run for president in 2028. Much like the group discussions inside classrooms, the quality of the output is heavily reliant in others stepping up, lest the unqualified strongman gets her way and all but assures the group a low grade.
The output of improving our country is a responsibility for the one big group of the Filipino people. When a groupwork requires the participation of others it often faces the challenge of silence, others already content to let the one with the loudest voice leading the group.
But a group led by only a single person’s arguments and ideas inevitably submits a poor output. When that occurs, the blame not only goes to the ill-equipped strongman leader but to those who could have opposed her but remained silent.
Stepping up is needed especially when the dangers are all too clear to see should one step into power. There need be others at least, someone to offer an alternative path for the nation.
Staying silent is the worst answer to someone so loud. Being meek in the times when the arrogant and ill-equipped is commanding everyone’s attention only contributes to the problem.
The people need more. More choices, more candidates, more alternatives, and most importantly the people need better candidates. **
