BAGUIO CITY (PIA) – – The City Government awarded plaques of recognition to the members of the Baguio City Advisory Council, in grateful acknowledgement of their unwavering support, unrelenting guidance and invaluable contribution to the city from year 2019 to 2022.
During the June 20 flag raising ceremony at the City Hall grounds, City officials headed by Mayor Benjamin Magalong and Congressman Mark Go awarded plaques to the members of the Advisory Council namely: Dr. Virgilio Bautista (chairperson); Ret. Judge Luminada Cabato (Vice Chairperson), Mr. Vic Agcaoli, Dr. Rowena Boquiran, Dr. Avelino Buban, Dr. Julie Cabato, Fr. Benny Castañeda, Engr. Kane Chanbonpin, Ret. Judge Edilberto Claravall, Edgar Nevada, Arch. Larry Placido, Dr. Gabriel Pamintuan, Dr. Raymundo Rovillos, Mr. Horacio Templo, Mr. Eddie Carta and PIA-CAR Regional Director Helen Tibaldo.
The City Advisory Council, organized through Executive Order No. 170 in 2019, has been actively working hand in hand with the city government for the achievement of the key priorities and issues outlined in the 15-point agenda of Magalong’s first term of office, and for ensuring sustainable development plans and programs of the city government of Baguio.
Magalong enjoined the council members for a continuing partnership on his second term anchored on his”Good Governance Beyond Politics” administration mantra. He reaffirmed his commitment for a participative governance in working towards a better Baguio.

In the same event, the City Government through the City Health Services Office, awarded plaques of recognition to its valuable partners for their dedicated and selfless service and extraordinary efforts that greatly helped the local government in achieving excellent accomplishment on the COVID – 19 vaccination program.
Recognized are the medical practitioners group PCOM Baguio – Benguet Chapter, Baguio City Police Office, Bureau of Fire Protection, and 911 On Call.
As of the June 21 data of the City HSO, there are 32,590 vaccinated senior citizena representing 120.87 percent of its 26,963 target population, and 250,504 eligible individuals 18 – 59 years old or 111.43% of the 224,818 target population.
For the 12 – 17 years old, Baguio City already vaccinated 36,929 or 91.78% of its target population while for 5 – 11 years old, there are 17,671 who are fully vaccinated. **JDP/CCD-PIA CAR
