Bontoc, Mountain Province – Employees of the Provincial Government here are encouraged to participate in the upcoming activities in celebration of the 116th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary this September with the theme “Sigaw ng Lingkod Bayani: Malasakit para sa Taumbayan, Kapwa Kawani at Kalikasan.” This was urged by Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan Jr. in a memorandum.
Among the activities is the “Malasakit para sa Kapwa ko Outreach Program: Damit Galing sa Puso”. In the spirit of charity, a “Goodwill Box” will be placed at the Provincial Human Resource Management Office (PHRMO), 4th floor of the Provincial Capitol Building where provincial government employees may donate used clothing starting this September until December 31, 2016. The collected items will be given to a recipient barangay in Mountain Province in December.
Also, each department of the provincial government shall schedule the conduct of tree planting and/or revisit their tree planting sites to assess the survival rates of the trees planted last year. Each department will be accompanied by a personnel of the Environment and Natural Resources Office (ENRO) for validation of the survival rates of trees planted in the previous years.
In addition, employees will have the chance to showcase their artistic talents during the Provincial Government of Mountain Province Got Talent whose schedule will be announced by the PHRMO at a later date. Provincial government employees shall also be given a special treat as they will be toured to pre-identified tourist attractions which shall include agri –tourism sites in the province.
To promote camaraderie and health and wellness among civil servants, a trekking activity and some sports competitions will be spearheaded by the Provincial Sports Development Office (PSDO).
Furthermore, all departments of the provincial government shall schedule the conduct of “Family Day” for their respective offices. This is a day of communion for the employees with their families for them to come together, dine and have fun.
Other activities are the launching of the 2016 Search for Best Performing Employees and the conduct of values re-orientation and team-building activity for the construction and maintenance men. The Philippine Civil Service Anniversary tarpaulin shall also be hanged in front of the Provincial Capitol as a symbol of the Provincial Government’s cooperation with and support for the Civil Service Commission. **Alpine L.
