A three-bracket basketball tournament that will cater to players 35-years old and abovewill kick off on September 30.
The Highland Cup Basketball Tournament is expected to be launched at the Easter College gym where former and current varsity players are not eligible to play, said organizer David John Dacanay.
It will have a bracket for 35-years old and above, the “Land and “High” groups in the single round tournament, said Dacanay.
The top four teams after the eliminations will advance to the semifinals where the top seed faces the fourth ranked, while the second and third placed teams face off. The top two teams have a twice to beat advantage.
Interested teams are to pay the P10,000 entry fee with half to be paid upon the submission of the team line-up. Each team can submit a total of 20 players of which 15 are allowed to play. A player can play in two teams but not on the same bracket.
Deadline for submission of team line-up will be on Sept. 23.** PML
