25 March 2022 – The Society of Outstanding Citizens of Baguio (SOCOB) is calling for nominations for the Search for Outstanding Citizens of Baguio 2022.
Dr. Junn Dizon who chairs the SOCOB validation committee encouraged residents to nominate persons excelling in their fields including those who rendered selfless service during the pandemic.
“We encourage everyone to take part in the search because this is everybody’s responsibility. Let’s have a joint effort so we can give proper recognition to our co-residents who deserve to be awarded especially now that we experienced a pandemic. We are sure there are many unsung heroes out there who deserve to be recognized,” Dizon said.
Acceptance of nominations will be from March 15 to June 17 but the SOCOB is encouraging residents to submit their nominations early to give the committee enough time to process and validate them.
Nomination forms can be obtained and submitted to the Philippine Information Agency regional office under Helen Tibaldo and Samantha Hamada of the City Mayor’s Office at City Hall.
